===> Yup. I signed her up. She had such a great time at the last two group hangs that she wanted to go to the winter hang. She got down to around 23° at the last hang, but is having a crisis of faith about going into lower temps. She is willing to switch to one of my Blackbirds from her RR (wraps around you better in cold, easier to keep the TQ in place), but worries about the colder temps. I have the down gear for her, but it is certainly her call. Not decided yet.

Got my Neos today. Ordered according the the online sizing, but still too small. Returned for larger size, should be here just in time for the hang. Fingers (and toes) crossed.

Sky I don't think it will get much below that. Though it will be 4* here on Monday or Tuesday prior to the hang.

I can talk to her about it if she comes next week. Temps shouldn't be too bad. Thanks.

Looks like I'll have competition for my hot mulled cider! Two gallons of cider and spices all ready to pack. Car packing will start this weekend; can't wait.

Heh, hardly. I've never made it before, just thought it would be nice to have something warm and ready to drink at the hang. Since you have it covered mayhaps I'll supply green tea, lemons and honey so we have variety.

Still a week out, but the latest shows a bit o snow on Saturday...

Yeah they are predicting 3-5" of snow. It is too far out to confirm that but what I can tell you is that we had a couple of inches of sleety mix here on Tuesday so at least it will look wintery.

I also want to put out there for those who are new to cold winter camping and have safety concerns, that while we have a fire and a cabin on site, I also live about a 2 min drive from location. So any safety concerns/situations come up and COMMUNICATED, (key word there) they can be address very quickly.

Now as to food, I will be making fresh chocolate cookies, maple syrup dumplings and a few other goodies on site. Mmmmmmmmmm

Can't wait to get your input on how it does in deep, prolonged cold.
We were at 23°F when I used mine back in late October at Alexandrialand. I was perfectly comfortable, but my SynMat ruptured two tubes, one when I was doing set up, and the second in the middle of the night, so it was kind of like sleeping on a long loaf of French bread.
I wondered at that time if it would've been a good idea to stick one of the $5 windshield protector/Reflectix sheets underneath my pad. ]I just grabbed one of those down at the Fell-Off-A-Truck Stop this morning.]

Hope you guys have a wonderful time next weekend, and I'd be really grateful if you would PM me with your impressions of the AMOK afterwards.
