    On the Loop Alien site it says that the design is "patent pending." I guess the Chinese decided that they had better steal it and try to make some money before that happens. Sorry to see such a blatant copying of someone else's design with no credit posted, but not really all that surprised. I would prefer to support our own cottage industries. Just sayin'.

    I got these in the mail....They are not strong enough to use on the hammock itself. (I bent some by bouncing in the hammock while hanging quite low!) ..I'm about 190lbs
    They will make good guy line tie outs though.

    I hear you on the patent topic..However, this is a piece of metal. Kinda like a bolt or washer or even a screwdriver or hammer. Loop Alien, being titanium, sets it apart from these. you get what you pay for!

    You're a braver man than I Gunga Din! Next time buy the stainless steel ones, I broke the aluminium ones at 148kg (326lb). I haven't managed the break the steel ones yet, took 'em up to 450kg (992lb). The Ti ones won't be quite as strong, but are very light.
