Got about one inch of snow. Lots of it sublimated into the atmosphere during the day. Just enough in the woods for the deer to stand out instead of blending into the background leaf litter / bare trees. Next two days are to be pushing 50, so it may be gone by the weekend.

    Hi everyone,

I'm going to make a recipe for the Sunday morning breakfast called, "Mountain Man Breakfast," to feed the number of people that will be there, I will need two Dutch ovens in order to feed everyone at once. I have a Dutch Oven I'll be bringing and if I don't come up with another one then I'll just have to split the hangers in half and feed in two different groups. Nothing wrong with that, but I would much prefer that everyone eats together.

So after all that the bottom line is; may I borrow a Dutch Oven from one of you hangers? I'm grateful and looking forward to meeting you all in December.

Wish I had a dutch oven to loan, sorry mate!

I'm planning on making a batch of mulled spice wine! Served warm with clear rum, it's so tasty!! Clove, cinnamon, etc.. sounds like there is tons of food coming along? I might bring some sausages or something to cook up.

edit: If I'm showing up on Saturday, is there any sort of rough schedule? I really want to hit up some of the IAT while there, but I haven't exactly figured out when I'll arrive yet. I'm guessing it's all free form and I'll just go with the flow...

Thank you! I truly feel better now knowing everyone can eat together before people start to break camp. This is very kind of you, thank you.

Ya'all might want to consider bringing a stool / chair. I have eight, plus some benches. I also have one 6 foot round table, and one 4X8 table on sawhorses.
Brats have been beer-boiled and grilled today, and wifey is making some excellent calico beans.
Does anyone make bannock? I would like to learn.
Weather is precluding snowshoes and XC skis. Could plan on some hiking on the Winter Sports Club trails.
With ten acres of Red Pines, some of us might scout for fatwood, and/or hike to Budsberg / Severson lake. We've got another 32 acres there.
No parachute (ala Frozen But Hang), but have a big tarp to use as needed.

Sorry to say, an unforeseen work obligation is going to delay my arrival. I won't be able to make the Friday evening meal/hang. I should be there by Saturday afternoon. Still plan on having chilli for dinner, if I miss the hike, I'll see you all for dinner!
