Has anyone heard of attaching a Hennessy Hammock using Prusiks and a carabineer on each end with the stock cords?
Thanks

I haven't but sounds like an interesting technique. Curious myself now!
Something to try this weekend...
I have not seen that but have personally had great results with my HH Expedition Asym with two descender rings and carabiner on the tree straps. There's a YouTube video on it somewhere and it makes it so easy to adjust.Requires properly rated hardware.
Sorry I meant to include a set of tree wraps also in the list of items.
I was looking at this

and started thinking if I could use the stock cord on the Hennessy and attach a hammock in a similar method.
1) wrap tree wraps around the tree
2) lace cord in and out of each wrap loop
3) using a carabineer with a loop attached connected with a Prusiks for tensioning
The only thing I might have forgotten is what would the carabineer attach to.
Oh well back to the drawing board
I was using the descended rings until I discovered whoopie slings.
I have not added them to my hammock yet, but my son's hammock has them and a toggle to the adjustable end of a whoopie is much better in my opinion.
I know this is super silly, but I don't like the clanging and ringing that The rings make.
They work very very very well how ever and highly recommend the Garda hitch.
I did the garda hitch (clovehitch with backing half hitch) on the carabiners and used Atlas straps for a while. That was very simple and easy to put up.
Wouldn't that kill the tree?
Just an out of shape middle aged guy who loves doing outdoor things with his great kids...

I have a HH and for the life of me I cannot see anything that works better than a closed loop with attached cinch buckle and a strap.
