I got the idea from a friend of mine but didn't completely understand his methodology I spoke to him and this is what he does:
1. Wrap stock HH wraps around tree
2. Clip carabineer to tree wraps (fat end to hammock)
3. Already have attach to HH's ridge line a Prusik knot made from a loop
4. Hang hammock from Prusik loops on each end to the carabineer (this is for adjustment purposes only)
5. Adjust left to right placement between trees using Prusik loops
6. Use HH's lashing method to make final connection through the carabineer.

On my HH setup I replaced the carabiner by using a JRB Tri Glide to form a loop for two descender rings. It keeps the HH cords intact and makes a real quick and easy way to adjust the hammock. You can add a Dutch or Dutchable clip at the tree or just run the rings and tri glide thru the loop.(just don't forget to collect the straps when you break camp.)The convenience of Dutch Clips and other of his hardware is totally worth the money.
Any pics Five Tango? Sounds interesting.

im back!!!! after a VERY long time in the jungle i am once again around! i am happy to talking about hanging techniques for the hennessy if anyone wants to. the garda ring videos are mostly mine. in reality these days i tend to use a tensionless hitch around a karabiner attached to the webbing straps. nothing simpler and requires nothing more than two karabiners which i would take into the jungle anyway for a variety of purposes....
