    WTB: Nunatak Arc Alpinist

I'm going to have to order a Western Mountaineering or Feathered Friends sleeping bag if I can't find one. I can't wait till January, my hiking season has already went to hell.

You can never go wrong with a Feathered Friends Rock Wren, or Winter Wren, I have both. They work on the ground or equally well in a hammock.

Dont you compress the bottom side though with a FF thus rederning all that extra down weight your carrying useless? Or are you usign a setup where the thing goes around your hammock not inside.

I've got a sleeping bag with 650 fill that weights 43 oz, definitely warmer than the quilt I just tried. Maybe I should just get a lighter pack. Any suggestions to save weight over a Granite Gear Vapor Trail? Need equal volume, esp. with a 650 fill bag.

    BackCountry Blanket

Doesn't have to be an Arc Alpinist, the Back County Blanket would work just fine.

I'm not so sure about the Winter Wren, weight wise.

I think mine weighs 2# 4oz with 2oz overstuff (reg). It is a little bit heavier than a quilt of comparable warmth (JRB Old Rag or RM No Sniveler)
