Hammock campout near hurricane Joaquin at Blackbird state forest in Delaware

Just sharing some pictures from my recent windy/rainy autumn campout. It was a great little state forest that had decent clean sites. The general feel of camping here is a bit of a mix between wilderness camping and camping at a state park. I will definitely be going back again! Easily one of the best free primitive camping places in the Delmarva area.

Good times! I prefer the offtrail wilderness camping myself. That looked like a good spot though and nice setup!

Great place! I used to hide out there quite often when I lived in Long Neck and Millsboro!

Looks like you'd be prepared for a hurricane with that tarp! Lots of coverage.

I also prefer wild camping. This place however is great if you need to bring the family along
