    Hello from middle TN

Hey guys and gals. new guy here from middle TN. I am new to hammocks but not to camping and backpacking. over the years I have noticed that I would go to the backcountry to relax and recharge but always found myself looking forward to sleeping in my bed. I was so uncomfortable in a tent. so I started doing some looking around mainly You tube. and found a ton of people and information on hammock camping. so now the search begins on which set up to get. as you all know there is only a couple hundred options !!!!! any who looking forward to learning and chatting with you folks.

Welcome. I'm from middle TN about a mile from the AL state line. There's a hang @ Merryweather Lewis park on the trace. I think it's a week or so from now. Be a good place to check out different hammocks.

Welcome to the forums. I, too, recommend a group hang, even if you can only stop by for an afternoon or have to stay in a t***.
Keep movin', keep believing and enjoy the journey!

Welcome from Nashville. Indeed, Neo's hang in two weekends at the Meriwether Lewis national campground on the Natchez Trace would be a great time to see plenty of hammocks.'

And if you like backpacking, check out our Nashville Backpacker group on Meetup.com. Just came back last night from a weekend trip. One group went to the Smokies. One to the Art Loeb Trail in NC.
