you know what would make the hammock community complete? a podcast.in my all labour no brain work i listen to hrs and hrs of podcasts and love it.i look forward to new ones from the Southeastern Backpackers and Toothless,Practical Backpacking,Dirtbag Diaries and Doing stuff Outdoors and many more.i love all the videos you guys make and the chit chat that goes on here .so...gets me to thinking that one of you techy guys who can talk properly and know whats what in the hammock world should make a podcast or 100.myself,i'm a newbie and not much of a talker and a computer dunce to boot but i betcha somebody out there is just waiting for the invite to give it a shot and i guarantee i would not be the only one to listen.-think about it

I was taking pics of setups at the Sipsey Halloween hang and talking to DougtheElder as he was taking things down. I had the thought 'man, if I only had a mic, everybody should hear this stuff'

There are a few hiking podcasts out there, but none that I know of that are hammock specific. Practical Backpacking has some nice gear discussion and there are some hammock folks in there too.

What hiking/gear related podcasts do ya'll listen to?

I don't want to be presumptive... but I think that is something I might be willing/able to co-ordinate. If the mods are interested in adding this and want to get in touch I would be willing to chat about. Right now I have some time to devote to it.
I may be slow... But I sure am gimpy.

Yes, yes, yes. More, more, more. Hammockforums.net is better than crack, and I need my fix while: driving, working, taking a constitutional.....

Yes PLEASE! I haven't listened to the radio for months now as I've discovered podcasts. I listen to Practical Backpacking, The Outdoors Station, The Great Outdoors, and anything else I can get hold of. I'd love something hammock specific. BRING IT ON....

I can think of a few podcasts that include a little bit of hammock talk:

ATHiking is a podcast about hiking. Toothless, the host of the podcast, is a hanger and he occasionally talks about hammock camping. I've also listened to SouthEastern Backpackers and the host to that podcast, Rylan, also hangs, although he is relatively new to it and hasn't had much in his podcasts about it.

But I would certainly LOVE to listen to a podcast solely about hammock camping/backpacking. I walk to & from work (~45 minutes each way) and so I burn through podcasts SUPER fast. The rest of the time is taken up by NPR, but I would absolutely love to add another podcast to my list!

Those South East Backpackers are a hoot! I heard one of thier casts the other day and spent the entire time laughing! Good to see a bit of humour; so many casts are so **** serious!

Rylan and Golden are good people. I correspond with them quite frequently. I'm trying to get Rylan out to one of the big hangs.

The only downsides to their podcast: Golden seems to be on an extended hiatus and Rylan isn't putting one out this month b/c he's hiking. Great for Rylan, bad for me
