This is for you guys who like hearing the Bankhead stories. I talked about my friend Rex a lot and our trips, Rex is a excellent writer and has a blog of some of our trips. These days he seems to have slowed down his writings on his blog and has moved on to Facebook which I don't do Facebook. I only hear about it when someone comes up to me, hay you was on Facebook. He keeps telling I got to get back to writing on my blog for you and the old people. What ever! Remember to click back in his history to the start of his trips. My mother loved his blog. Great report. Did wayne write it?
Thanks for the great food, great tour and fun. I told the wife and kids all about it and they really want to check it out now. The kids were especially intrigued about the part where you slide down a waterfall on your butt. Looking forward to some cold weather camping!

Hate I missed yet another HF hang in the Sipsey. Hopefully my schedule permits me to make the winter hang, assuming that happens. If not, I know I'll be there in December with our church's youth group. Looks like a good time was had! Can't wait to get in there and see the aftermath of the fire.

I have so many thanks to give! To everybody for letting a girl hang out w/ the guys for the weekend, Thanks! I learned so much about the nuances of hanging a hammock, the differences in designs, tarp structures, ridge lines, & hardware- all of which I need to see and touch to understand. Thank you, Ed (SlowWanderer), for the generous prize of new suspension. I'm thrilled w/ my whoopie slings & straps and couldn't wait to show anybody who stood still when I got home. Daddy's Love Beans were fabulous, BankheadBoy's history lessons could have kept me entertained all night, and y'all really know your way through a briar patch. In case anybody was wondering, bushwacking is much easier when you're following 6 people taller than you. I need more trail time, but you only get it by getting it.
Thank you, Squidbilly, for organizing this, and for everyone that came - your presence contributed to the great experience and I can't wait for the next one.

The fire should out by now? Raining for days here in middle Tn
Just to let anyone wondering what we at the hang witness of the fire, the only thing I notice was Sunday morning the smoke came in like fog with a little bit of smell. That was it nothing more and that was good.

Thanks Garret for putting the big tarp up and the work of having to dry it at home.
Charlotte I wish I had another handful of those grapes to eat. I enjoyed meeting you and Chuck, I think you two was the only new guys in our group. I hope to see all soon.
