    Smile My New DangerBird #2456

    Hi all!

I just got my new 11 foot DangerBird in the mail. I can't say enough good things about Dream Hammock! It is 1.6 HyperD - XL, which makes it close to 72 inches wide. I am a side sleeper at home, and when I tested this out today, I almost dropped off to sleep right away. It has a zipper top pocket, which is sturdy and well made. It also has a vented overcover, and pack hooks. I opted for extra zippers on both the overcover and the bugnet.

This thing is comfortable! I am so pleased, and very thankful that there are vendors that take such pride in their workmanship.

It looks great! I have a couple questions, what are pack hooks? Are they the underquilt hooks on the seam, similar to the tie out points that you have?

Also, how much does the extra zipper run? Does this give you the option to meet them somewhere in the middle when closed up?

    Thank you, Barren23!

The hooks are for your underquilt and tie outs.

The zippers cost $7.50 per zipper. I got zippers for both sides of the overcover and the bugnet, so that was a total of $30. Yes, it gives you the ability to open and close the cover or bugnet from the middle (or anywhere else you like).

Thank you! That is exactly what I wanted to know.

I guess my last question is how wide do I want my hammock? Since I'm a big guy (6'1", 275), I was planning to go dual layer, 2.2 Hex for the outer and a 1.6 for the inner, but the XL color choices are a bit limited... I wonder if I go 2.2 and 2.2 with a max of 67, if I'd be happy with that width? However, it looks like it will be rather heavy. I could shed a lot of weight if I go 1.6 and 1.6. I love having the options!!

I ordered a sparrow a last week and had similar questions. i'm going with 1.6 xl inner and 2.2 outer. i'm 6' and about 235. Randy said this would be a great combo for comfort and durability for my size. the finished hammock will be about 66 inches wide. hope it helps!

I would contact Randy at [email protected] and get his advice on width and weight.
