Yes 12 foot lines are for the pullout, WarBonnet states this on the website of course I didn't listen to them and had same problem with mine in the Porkies. They have a video on the site. Take care!

Thanks for all the suggestions. I tried to rig the pullouts in the same way Brandon shows in his video. I have decided to give the pole mod a try after giving it some thought. The shovel idea wasn't too appealing to me so I ordered some poles from Dutch. I should get them in a couple of weeks.

to be clear, the shovel was me just finding something...anything to pitch it in my yard for practice hahahaha...I have my first set of hiking poles on order so the 8 lb shovel will not need to be strapped onto my back

I am also looking at Dutch's Tarp Pole Mods for my Superfly. I would love to hear your thoughts after you get them.

I think there is enough evidence in other posts that Dutch's mod works fine. I will let you know how they work for me. It might be a while though, winter is on its way here in northern Alberta. It was -9c last weekend when I went out with snow on the ground. Being from Florida, your idea of winter camping is very much different from mine!

I tested a few different tie out methods in a severe gusting wind that might give you some ideas.
