I've been using strap anchors on Kevlar straps. This system is actually less bulky and a smidge lighter than my huggers and whoopies. I do sometimes go back to whoopies, but the straps are less fiddly since there is no MSH involved. Whoopies are better for when my hammock and tarp suspensions touch each other.

Straps and buckles are the easiest, but find them too bulky when backpacking. Once I got used to sliding whoopies, it's wasn't bad at all. I checked out the kevlar straps. I think they are nice, but I'm guessing once they get worn in they might start to roll and be a pain in the butt. Just guessing at that. They are light though. Possible they would be nice if put on only when backpacking.

I used the adjustable webbing suspension on my WBBB and I can't get used to it. I'm trying Dutch's cinch bugs now but those have me a hard time yesterday.

I really like whoopie slings. That's what I have on my WBBB XLC. Adjusting the whoopies after I have the hammock loaded with my sleeping bag, etc, requires me to lift the hammock up, thus relieving the load on the whoopie, to loosen it. I just pin the gathered end of my hammock under my arm, to create a bit of slack on the whoopie when I need to adjust it.

My old WBBB has the old style, slim triangles, which I like better then the new buckles. The strap slides much better. Just need to put a half hitch behind it.

If whoopee slings did not fit for your style, don't use them. There are so many choices out there because we all have our own taste. I love using my whoopies. It is up to you what you use.
    Take care,

    +1 on that.

but, since you asked what others use, I love my whoopies. As someone above pointed out, as long as I relieve the tension (and look to see which line to adjust!), they slide very easily. In all fairness, that is the way my first hammock came and I've never felt the need to try anything else. Light and simple work for my hanging.

When I first got into hanging, whoopies were all the rage. And I went for them. Partially because of the stock ropes my Clark came with. But then I saw the new Atlas straps from ENO. They may not be the lightest system but dang they are just too simple not to use. And they work.

+1 on this ,I had trouble with whoopee's a while back ,I have bad arthritis in my hands more so when it gets cold ,I actually had to cut 1 whoopee to get my hammock taken down, but then found out it was 100% my own fault I had my rifle and a bunch of gear still in the hammock ,I tried to hold the hammock under my arm pitt ,but nothing I did helped ,after that incident and thanks to this forum ,I realized that if you remove heavy objects from the hammock then there is never any problem with whoopies ,live and learn ,or ask question ,s there is usually a solution on the forums
    always use tree straps please
