    Smile Another noobie!

Just beginning to get into the whole hanging thing. I blame Shug for my sickness. Watched one of his hiking videos on BWCA and was intrigued by the whole concept of hammock camping. Since then I have had a blast being entertained by his videos.
I've taken 7 trips to the boundary waters in the last few years and after having 2 back surgeries when I turned 50 I am no longer able to sleep on the ground. Love the boundary waters but basically go without sleep for a week. I'm researching the whole hanging thing and plan on purchasing a hammock in the near future. Not sure which one yet. So many choices!
Appreciate all the back and forth on this sight. Seems like a great community!
    Looking forward to becoming involved.

Welcome preacherdave! You came to the right place. These people know so much about hammock hangin. I seem to learn something every day. Have fun. I think your back will appreciate it. I had back surgery several years ago and the hammock is great.

Welcome Preacherdave! I too blame Shug for my Hammock illness and love all his videos. I've been hooked since then and haven't looked back. I hate to hear about your bad back, i know 1'st hand it can be rough, but on the bright side it steered you towards hammocks! Look forward to hearing more from you in the future.
    Take care.

I'm new to the forum and hanging as well. I thank this site for the great advice on the best equipment. I think I made the right choice with WB and HG thanks to the many posts I've read. I have had to make some adjustments while hanging, but I'm close to the perfect set up. Happy with the Superfly and the Incubator. I am trying to get the right angle with my Traveler. I got the double layer for when I choose to use a mat, but I think the UQ is sufficient. Just need a tq. The bag is causing me some frustrating nights.

    Welcome Preacherdave!

I switched also due to my knees and trying to get up off the ground in the morning. Once I tried Hammock Camping I never went back to the ground.

I'm also new to hammock camping. And I too have Shug to thank for getting me into a hammock. His videos are great (so are yours Fronky). I enjoy this site there's so much information on here. Thanks again and if there is a group hang near TX or OK let me know thanks.

    Welcome to the forum !

Hope all goes well with your search.

Just wanted to also say I just sold Preacherdave an item in the For Sale section and his payment was quick even though I messed up in giving him the payment info. He is a new member but I say Deal With Confidence. Thanks again Preacherdave!
