    Greetings, Earthlings...

My name's David, and I'm extremely new to hammocks and hammock camping. I mean, c'mon, we've all had that mandatory hammock as a kid, but aside from that never been in a hammock. Especially a gathered end hammock...

Okay, so about me: I'm currently residing in Texas, but have lived in several states. Originally from NJ, so getting together for a Jersey group hang isn't quite far-fetched since all my family is back there. Absolutely love the Pine Barrens.

I'm considering moving full-time to hammock sleeping, but will need to get a hammock to try first. lol The benefits of sleeping in a hammock full-time seem to outweigh the cons.

I've learned quite a bit from the members here, at first via YouTube, but found these forums thanks to some of the members linking them in their video descriptions.

I can be quiet at times, simply because I like to search for my answers unless they don't exist. I look forward to talking to all of you and becoming a familiar face here.

Also, I'd like to thank Shug for all the videos.

Welcome Smurfling, from far west Texas. I'm also originally from the Garden State, (Taylor porkroll rules). Glad you joined the group, Texas has an active group of hangers and there is a group hang coming up in a week or so. You might want to drop in if your near, lots of fun...
