If you haven't already taken a look. Scroll down a bit. The campsites don't appear to be too far apart.
True, they are not very far apart. However, when considering to hike in a weekend, 42 miles would have to be covered. This is why I thought this is the mileage covered IF the campsites are absolute: (Traveling North to South)

Miles 5-8 Back Country Camping Allowed
    Mile 13.9 Fox Den Shelter
    Mile 19.5 Indian-Plum Creek
    Mile 30.2 Yellowwood Forest

    Trip Plan
Day 1 - Hike 13.9 miles to camp near/at Fox Den.
Day 2 - Hike 16.3 miles to camp at Yellowwood Campground. (mile marker 30.2)
Day 3 - Hike 11.8 miles to finish.

One thing is for sure, I will ask all who do hike this trip with us to post a TR on here when done.

I emailed the HHC on the above and already received this response back:
    Hi Kevin,

Yes, those are the only designated camping areas on the Tecumseh Trail. Day 2 is a bit of a slog, but the last part from Patty's Garden Ridge to Yellowwood Lake is mostly downhill. It looks like your information is coming from the Tecumseh Trail Guide that we published on our website. If not, you might want to take a look at it: http://www.hoosierhikerscouncil.org/...rail_Guide.pdf.

You should also be aware that there are a couple of reroutes in effect right now. The west side of the Rock Shelter Trail, which is also part of the Tecumseh Trail, is closed, so you would use the east side of the loop to proceed to the backcountry area on the Low Gap Trail. Also, there is a reroute just before Bear Lake that will force you onto Bear Wallow Road. Both of these reroutes, including maps, are posted on our Trail Conditions page:
    http://www.hoosierhikerscouncil.org/...il-conditions/.

The trail guide lists potential water sources, but, since it's been so dry lately, you might consider caching water.

Keep in mind the HHC wants to keep it as clean and healthy as possible, so I am sure they will demand where they want you to stay at night, but to most, 16 miles is kinda over the top to be expected to hike. 10 miles for me, and I am ready to set up, eat and relax for the next section.

I'm heading to the north end of the trail in December, and heading South, don't wanna sound like an ***...how ever I'll most likely set up when i get tired.

Oh, and if anyone is interested, let me know, your welcome to tag along.

    Jerry

I hiked LowGap last week and got caught up in the reroute. I might be interested in joining when you hike the TT.
