Hennessy uses 70D 160x90 thread count nylon Taffeta on his Explorer Ultralight that he rates at 250. You can get it from

    here

    Quest Outfitters.

Assuming it is the same material as Hennessy uses, and the specs are certainly identical, then yes - it is very comfortable. Never tried parachute material unless you mean silnyl which has a silky feel. The 1.9 oz DWR ripstop I have feels pretty much the same - very soft, nice against the skin.

    That is a nice model

WarbonnetguyEveryone here is obsessing over you hammock. Did no one notice the beautiful model in the hammock. Has our obsesion completely blinded us that we can no longer see the forest through the bug netting. I think we should all concider putting down our rip stop nylon and our 1 inch webbing and take a moment to appreciate how beautiful the other sex is. Rather than note the cat cut ridgeline, how about the noticing the cat cut model. I mean this as no disrepect to the female hangers on this site. They can notice the hammock all they want.

    Peace Dutch

I did notice the model and I also ordered a hammock from Brandon. I am hoping the model comes with the hammock.

warbonnetguy... are you a member of BPL.com? there's a thread there i started about trail days 07, & someone posted a bunch of pictures.
one of them was your hammocks & they were asking about them.
if you're not a member there, i can try to fill them in as best i can.
there were several photos of hammocks in the "quite area", along w/ some mention of the increase in hammocks & hammock vendors.
I too will something make and joy in it's making
