No we hung in at the parking lot CB and myself will be up there this weekend as well. Camping at hawksbill parking Friday night and hopefully somewhere in the gorge Saturday night. It will be another good test run with more snow coming in

What's access like in the winter? I haven't been there in the winter in 20+ years, but the last time we got snowed in. I have a "pass" for a camping trip in Feb, this might be a good candidate.

I plan on making this hike, I noticed within the thread that the site is about 200 foot from the parking lot. Is it safe to assume that the hike will be more like a car camping than backpacking for example their will be stoves , coolers, brats , dogs , burgers or whatever we want to eat. I plan on coming up Thursday afternoon but at the latest Friday afternoon. The only big group hang and last hang was yates place last spring.
Yup its basically car camping. There's going to be so much food if anyone goes away hungry its there own fault lol.
