Awhile back there was a long thread about gear failures when used for slack lining. If one considers the force vs angle calculators it is easy to see why that could become an issue as the idiots yank the anchor points apart. OTOH I see no big deal about hammocks. They are way more comfortable than a blanket on the ground. ;-)
