It was a very cool campsite. Great for anyone who wants to car camp. Right on the water. Plenty of trees. I think that we all had a great time.
The temps went into the low 30's. I got to use my Ed Speer SnugFit for the first time and Mannnnn!! I love that thing! I have the universal model and I think it must have been designed to fit a Warbonnet BlackBird like a glove! I was toasty warm all night!

Nice, rice. Junk salvaged into something useful, love it. Makes an excellent fire pit. Add a solid sleeve around it and you got yourself a massive gasification stove.

There was a frost warning! It was just a little chilly :-) Nice and warm around the fire though!

I like the look of that little t-light candle lantern. I wonder how long that little candle would burn?

Thanks for the pics. You just can't go wrong if you throw in a good canoe photo or two.

I forgot all about the candle lantern. I have one that I picked up at REI years ago. Weighs less than six ounces with the candle...at the time, that really was SUL.

I kind of like it. Burns for hours. Mmmm...citronella.

Great Pics Rice ! I have the candle lantern for you and will bring it to the next hang. For those that didn't make it out there, it truly is a great spot with several places to hang. Fish, paddle, swim (given the season) . . . multiple things to do during the day.

Sorry Redbank for bailing out Saturday as you were arriving. Had we known a little more in advance that you were coming out I might have "hung" around for the next night. Hope the cicken bog was scrumptious and maybe we can catch a rain-check for the next hang.

Good times for my first group hang. Looking forward to many more . . .
