    Costco Down Throw Quilts

Hi Everybody. This is my first post here, but I've been lurking for awhile and got inspired by the various DIY projects you all have done. Although I am new to the sewing world, I was lucky enough to inherit a Singer Stylist 834, and decided to give DIY a try. I grabbed a couple Costco down throws and thanks to the many informative posts here, I got to work making a Top Quilt and an Under Quilt.

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

My goodness, the way you ripped the seams to shift the down is awesome. Way to go to minimize the waste!

Thanks folks. I love these Costco throws... Even if you mess something up, just harvest the down and start anew.

these are gorgeous. Please let us know how low they can go. How recently were you able to find quilts at costco? - my local ones are sold out.

Picked these up 3 weeks ago (Philly suburbs). I think they still have a few in stock. Given the popularity, I'd be willing to bet they stock up big time next year. I don't think I'll be testing these until the spring, but I will certainly post when I do.

This is the first time i've seen someone rip the seams, brilliant idea. I'll bet you get much more warmth out of them with the extra loft. My only question would be do you find the down coming out the holes left from the stitching or does it seal up pretty well?
