Looks like a real boost to get out like that. Brisk but it looked like you were in a good spot. Thanks for sharing. I'm heading to the backyard tonight. Best I can do this weekend but stars look pretty. First night the summer bugs have been quiet. Heard them last night for the last time this year.

    Love your vids, Shug.
I desperately want to start spending some overnights in the woods, but the idea of spending 7 hours driving, round trip, takes the wind out of my sails.
Do you ever camp closer to home?
I've been scoping out some of the state forests an hour or so north of the Twin Cities.
Any thoughts or advice about wild camping in MN state forests?

I do...Afton or Wild River or the likes. But it is never the same. Worth the drive. Get up early and get on it.
The woods are just different up there past Duluth.

Good as always, Shug. Glad you got out there, glad you got back, glad you didn't get shot. Looks like that rig does little to stop the wind--hard to hunker down with that tarp. Thanks for the first taste of snow.

I love getting out on those 24 hour adventures. Those north woods of Minnesota sure are pretty.

I could have pitched it a bit better but just wanted to see what shook out. I have a mod I coulda done that would have helped. But the bugnet worked real good.

Yes thank you! I had given up finding their stuff as I scoured the interwebs a while back for any and all I could get my hands on.
