anyone have any idea the literal weight benefit over brandons 14' webbing with biners vs. Whoopie slings and 6 foot straps 1' wide with a toggle???
I'm thinking the weight savings is in the 3-4 oz range. You get rid of 9' webbing on each side plus triangle (or cinch) buckles and replace with a few feet of amsteel. My 6' straps plus whoopies from Arrowhead Equipment came in at around 3-4oz. Brandon specs his webbing suspension at just over 7 oz I think.
drewboy, is that total or for each side?

I can confirm the stock WBBB webbing is roughly 8oz for the straps, triangle rings and small loop of amsteel (YMMV I might have some sap or other dirt picked up during use). I don't know about the new buckles, they look heavy.
My Nano hammock, with webbing, toggles, and Whoopie Sling weighs 8 oz
