Math isn't my strong suit but, say you had too shallow angle on the whoopies coming off the tree straps and a ridgeline set at 83%, that would make the ridgeline extremely tight and would put alot of pressure on the ends that the hammock body would need to absorb. I'm not sure what the failure point is on, say, 1.6 oz nylon but I would think there is a chance of the fabric tearing.
