Cuban Fiber tarp doors

Has anyone attached velcro strips the their tarp doors? I was thinking of keeping my tarp doors closed by using velcro and not use shock cord.

Shock cord at each door tie-out would be more forgiving. It seems that I typically have a few inches of over-lap when I close the ends but occasionally my pitch is low and wide any the doors don't quite meet. The shock cord also make entering/exiting a "snap", the doors close automatically behind you.

I don't use my cuben winter camping much but have not heard any reports of them failing in winter. I just use my silnylon one as it is "winterized."

There has not been any reports.
