PA > AT between Swatara Gap and Port Clinton

Gonna be hiking over the Thanksgiving Holiday. Starting on Wed ad finishing up on Saturday in Port Clinton. Hang with a JRB BMBH. Any interested hangers are welcome. Let me know prior to Tuesday as I am heading up to PA from VA that evening.

I had to miss this one, but that section of the trail is one I haven't hit in over 25 years. Is there interest in doing something like that this summer as well. I actually would love to try to make a run from Swatara to Lehigh Gap. The last part is brutal, crossing knife edge, the Knob, and the adjacent boulder fields so it could be shortened to end where 309 crosses the trail. Heck, from that point I can walk down the mountain to my house.

My Spring is going to be pretty rugged, but my July is looking pretty good. It is a long way off but planning something then would be pretty great, even if it is a shorter route.

Geez SnackPack, you live just down the road from me. I live at the base of the mountain just below where PA RTE 309 crosses the AT. If you're in Port Clinton, your only about 20 miles away.

I was also just told about a loop, abuot 25-27 miles that is out not far from Harrisburg and another up north near Wilkes Barre. If there is some interest, I can look at getting some trail maps.

Apeman, just noticed you teach, so that might mean you have some free time in July.
