    After giving it some thought i decided to make mine out of shock cord as well, the velcro would wear out with time and holding water and moisture would also be problematic for sure.

    Here is the thread with a video. I got my pawn bags from sargevining on the old PIF forum. He shows them at the 3:35 mark on the video, but the entire video shows how he uses different sizes of bags (bishop, knight, pawn) to wrangle his suspension & tarp lines. I love my pawn bags because they organize the lines & they are bright orange, so I can always see them.

    That's why I love group hangs - to see the anal-retentive things people do with their tarp guylines!

    I'll continue to roll my guylines up in the tarp and keep the stakes separate - I just can't see adding velcro or shock cord to my cuben fiber tarp.
