Hello from Buffalo. Do you think that hammock camping helped you with the ultra running? If so, how?

    Welcome from Toronto!

I was just chuckling to myself thinking about ultralight tripping and then remembering my "filled to the brim" 120L Ostrum Wabakimi portage bag I've been known to take canoeing. That thing weighs a ton and I swear knocks a year off my life every time I hoist it.

Absolutely, when running in the woods and it's dark, just find two trees evenly spaced apart and you're home for the night oh and the Views, Not to mention it’s a great leave no trace shelter.

120L I wouldn't be running, I would be laying on the ground very quickly saying,

"I have fallen and i refuse to get up"
