Shug as always nice informative video and I like the shorts/kilt you were wearing.

You are indeed correct. I wanted a line under my tarp so i sewed grosgrain loops on the bottom (inside) of the tarp's ridge line, just an inch or so from each end. The loops face toward the middle of the tarp.
The line under my tarp connects under/inside the tarp at both ends. No drips!
Before I tied the line to both sides, I added 7 or 8 loops. They keep things were you want them instead of them sliding to the middle of the line when it is weighted.
I too will something make and joy in it's making
I remember at the Linville Gorge Hang, Ken mentioned that by hanging the tarp under the RL, it could save some wear and tear on the tarp, as opposed to the tarp on top of the RL where the tarp would have contact with the RL.
Something else to consider….
* edited to add- If I recall correctly, Ken made mention someone here on HF had made mention of this previous to him mentioning it to me. (I'm not sure who that was)

Had an ice storm this past weekend and I agree with Shug, it definitely needs to be under when you expect snow or ice.
