    Relaxing at -1 deg C, 30 deg F

Trying out a different suspension system. Adjustment on a loop of bungee is made at the red cord locks. Lots of excess bungee at the moment.

I had more material kicking around so decided to make another last night. This one is 153cm long and 117cm wide. Over 180g of siberian goose down. Pertex microlight inner and a 1.1 black ripstop. The Black has a silver PU coating on the inside.

I bought a huge pile of the stuff. Worked out a better deal than just buying just what I needed at the time. I probably have enough for one more quilt.

Had an hour or so spare this evening so I reworked quilt number one. Despite the many great comments and feedback from the original post I was still unhappy with one or two of the stitches.

So without a loss in width and only 2-3cm length I have reworked it. The sides have been bound in black grosgrain which gives a nice transition between the charcoal grey and teal green. The end channels through which the bungee runs is now much narrower.

This is now my favourite bit of hammock kit. Just need a WBBB to hang above it.
