"50% off" almost makes me want to go into the business.

The price is $50 off, not 50%. Big difference.
If your lucky enough to be outdoors, your lucky enough!
Yup. That shoots my dream of becoming a sail maker.

Not the machine of choice for lightweight materials.
Great for the thick stuff.
Ambulo tua ambulo.
Dang, you're right. Sorry for the miss-post...
I bought one probably 15 plus years ago for marine canvas and sail repair. I've had it down to as light as M50 but you have to help it alone by pulling from behind. It works on with 1.1 and 1.6 sil and argon. I agree that it's not the best for light weight but it works with some practice. It goes through tree straps like butter.
For those prices I expect to sew tire tread to sheet metal.
There are less expensive brands with virtually the same machine. I bought the Sailrite a few years ago for another hobby and would never get another. Same stamped steel/diecast crude mechanism as the lower cost brands. To say I was underwhelmed is a huge understatement.
I can't even imagine sewing light materials at the slow speeds the machine runs (which are fine for the heavy materials it is meant for).
You probably could except the presser foot doesn't lift high enough...one of the many "underwhelming " features.
The hot knives look interesting, may place an order for one with the cutting foot and try it on cutting fabric. Been using a soldering iron with some success.
