    I was there in Sep, coming up from the river. It is one of the most beautiful places I have ever been. I would say there are opportunities for a hammock. Mr. Albino Big Horn in my avatar is from Havasu Canyon as well.

    Very hot in the sun, 100+. Decent in the shade, maybe 95. The water is probably 70 degrees, but very brackish with lots of minerals, giving it the terquoise color. Here is the confluence of the terquoise blue Havasu Creek and the muddy Colorado.

    My favorite camping experience was a havasu falls in 1990. Slept under the stars on a cold march night. Been chasing the havasu experience since then.....its what hooked me on backpacking.
