Wow.. this is good to know.
My MamaJamba is in its' infancy and likely won't see that type of extended use... so I'm in good shape!

Why would you leave it out that long? Were you protecting something with it?
I am considering getting a Warbonnt tarp this definitely helps its case!
In answer to the question as to why I left it out so long --
I've been virtually a full-time hanger for the past two-and-a-half years (it's actually probably closer to 90% of the time overall, but during the winter, it is closer to 100% -- I LOVE hanging in the winter).
I've got two "permanent" setups in my back yard:
- a bridge hammock (currently a WB RR in a Spindrift sock under a CloudBurst tarp with doors), and
- a gathered-end hammock (currently a DreamHammock NightHawk in a MollyMac sock under a UGQ WinterDream tarp)
I basically switch back and forth between them.
I like having two setups instead of one because:
- switching back and forth makes it more interesting for me, and
- it makes it really easy to have "sleepovers" -- over the past two winters, I've had three or four folks (i.e., non-hangers) each winter try out my gear with me on sub-freezing nights
So that's why I had the tarp out constantly for 22 months -- because I was using it!
That is admirable
Just an out of shape middle aged guy who loves doing outdoor things with his great kids...
