Shugs videos are the best. I learned a lot from them and got a good laugh too. I hear from people that have met him too, that he's a great guy, no surprise there. Keep the videos coming, I love watching them.

Thanks all. This gives me a wee prod to get to a video. I'll admit that after doing them for so long......I get a bit stale or tired of doing them and have to wait to be moved to get to one.
Trip reports are the easiest as there is nothing to make up or come up with, it..the trip...just happens. Easy to film.
Coming up with tutorials or reviews or look-sees and responding is somewhat daunting at times. I'm lazy by nature and sometimes just don't ant to think. Or answer more questions.
Now I am off to lollygag as typing this wore me out. :-)
    Thanks for the kind words.

Shug has definitely influenced much of my own hanging/hiking style. Thank you Sean! LarryB

Shug has the information and the style to keep me informed and entertained. He is the perfect spokesman for the hammock. Carry on sir.

Two big things I got from Shug's videos :

    1) on de knot, not on de toggle
    2) your pad will do you just fine

The second one in particular gave me the confidence to get out in the cold using what I already owned instead of giving up because I didn't have an underquilt.

Gear wise: the Fancee Feest and Stansport stool. I always looked over these until I saw Shug's success with them. Both really made a big impact on my weight, efficiency and overall enjoyment.

In general: as a person that tends to sometimes focus a bit much on the negative, Shug's positive attitude really encourages me to get over that and not sweat the small stuff. I'm trying hard and doing pretty darn good so far

Starting at 25:05 in this video is all the motivational speaking I need. I love it! Thanks Shug!

I had given up on ultra lite packs as they just never seemed to work for me. Poor suspension made 25 lbs seem like 45. The Shug videos have convinced me to give the ULA Ohm a try. I can't wait for cool weather to get it on the trail.
