The longest night of the year/ 1st day of winter...Will it ever be winter?

Is there any better reason to get out than the winter solstice? All my nights get shorter after tonight.

I'll be sleeping out but, predicted overnight temps are still above freezing. Looking forward to colder temps and snow predicted for the holiday weekend.

I wish you freezing temps and measurable snow for the new year.

Biggest snowstorm in a few years last week. 22 inches at my house in a 2 day period. Now it's a rain/snow mix in the Salt Lake valley, snow in the mountains all this week. We might even get a white Christmas in the valley?

    Yes please!!

Winter was over before it even started Will I get out? Of course. Will I enjoy it as much? Hell no.

Jan-Mar is really a bummer for the great lakes/upper MW area. Already waiting for Winter 2016-2017!!!

Not a single snowflake yet in Portland Maine! December 24th is predicted to be 64 degrees. Crazy.

It's not looking good. The last time we had a strong El Nino, my area received 11.1" of snow for the season. We usually get around a 100" in a normal winter.

Around to just below the freeze mark, some flurries and about 4-6" of white cover.
The bitter cold can hold off till my new quilts arrive...assuming the bitter cold even shows up...missed the -26c stuff that passed through already.

Will be hanging out myself as usual soaking in the long nights in total comfort and looking forward to them growing days going forth

Not a single snow flake yet in SE PA. We're expecting temps near 70F on Christmas!!!! Crazy weather, but it's good for hangin'! I don't have an UQ yet so the really cold stuff can hold off if it wants.

Welcome to a Florida Christmas to all of you. Bwuaaaahhaaaa. We spread our Paradise Weather to you all.

I wouldn't mind seeing a white Christmas at all. Never even hung in the snow and been in it once in Virginia. When ya'll find that cold weather, send some my way.
Enjoy and have fun with your family, before they have fun without you
