I am considering hiking on saturday so might see you on the trail depending what I decide to do. Which site do you plan to camp saturday?

Never having been to Zaleski, are the trails suited for a DIY pulk? I have everything I need, just haven't to put it together yet. I was thinking of getting a better sled before I put the polls on the cheep one, but I think I'll give it a go if the trail is not to difficult.

I've never done winter backpacking so not entirely sure. What makes a trail unsuitable for a pulk? and given that I might be able to give you an idea.

I would like a pulk as I have a ton of bulky cold weather gear. 3-5 sounds promising. Slept in the garage last night add it was down to 15* here in Cleveland as a test.

Not really, lot of up and down, it'd be in your heals half the hike. There is a service road that goes by the first camp, quick 500 yard hike in if that up what equates to a gravel drive way. You could stage some of your gear if you'd like but I wouldn't park at that service road.
