Don,t waste your money on a black rock down pillow, not even sure if the still sell them, but they only have about 1.5 oz. of down in them if that and they go completely flat when u put your head on them. I took mine and stuffed it with 4 additional oz,s of down and now it's definitely a decent pillow that works for me and I don't mind it weighing 5.5 oz,s either. I have to have my pillow!
I am starting to lean more to the side of taking items that are multipurpose. Although I did find a small pillow at Arrowhead that has a clip that will clip into the hennessy hammock that is small and light and very appealing. This hobby is so expensive to get going
I need more height in a bridge hammock: so I use an Exped or Montbell inflatable
In a gathered-end: a 2" thick square of ccf inside a microfleece pocket w/bungee tether to keep it in place
LuminAID Solar Inflatable Light, multi purpose
I THOUGHT GETTING OLDER WOULD TAKE MUCH LONGER.

I don't have a pic but I have a pretty large stuff sack that attaches to the ridgeline with an extra long cinch sac line. It normally houses my sleeping kit: merino layers, various gloves, fleece socks(which I never use), down beanie, neck gaiter, balaclava, and sometimes my down jacket. Depending on the night, I use what makes me comfortable and then position the other items carefully into a comfortable pillow and throw it behind my head. That way as I change things out during the night, I always know where the stuff is and can pull stuff out and throw stuff in their easy peazy, also I'm not carrying extra/uneeded mass or weight. It's a good system. Sometimes I detach it from the ridgeline and use it under my knees. Nice!

When I slept in a bed, I always used a very flat pillow, one others would complain about. I think this has transferred over to how I sleep in my hammock.
At home in my Mayan, I have a pillow, but it's laying beside my head, on the inside, and then I end up pulling my duvet up to ear on the hammock edge side. When camping, I just do the TQ/SB pulled up under my chin but up to my ears. This way I can turn my head and I'm on very thin "pillow". BUT I also opted for a full-length (for me) UQ for both indoor and the colder months outside. This, along with a toque, is very comfortable for me.
Reading this thread, I seem to be in the minority, but as you can see, I have my system down pat. Ha ha!
