Yeah, I certainly don't care to hide from anyone. Normally I would pick blue but when I saw the camo combo that I just ordered it just called to me. It's a dark olive and camo cover and just really looks sharp. I also think it kind of pulls my green UQ and tan tadpole together instead of just adding another color.

Seems like camo 'is the new black' with clothes, hammocks, and anything else that can be made in a camo pattern. I love my purple Dutchware PolyD 1.4.

One thing to consider with camo hammocks- if you get separated from your campsite and are unfamiliar with the terrain, having a brightly colored hammock will be better to see from a distance and to help guide you back in to your site.

Camo is sort of fun, the earth tones are nice for cutting the clash but do not forget that sometimes we want to be found so something that is obviously not normal is also good to have along. It can be a sling chair, bottom cover, rain jacket or anything else that can be deployed to be seen from the air but have it. You never know if something will happen so you want help or need to mark territory like an occupied campsite.
    YMMV

No cammo here either, but mostly because there's none that I feel would be any better than the solid brown or olive drab. As pointed out previously, the tarp is just too large. That said, I would get it if I found one that I felt would work. I have had my gear raided before, and since then, I always stealth it. I haven't been to any group hangs yet, but if that and car camping was all i did, I'd go for some pretty outrageous color schemes. Instead, my gear is all in earth tones with the exception of my liner, which is bright orange. My theory is, if I want to be noticed, I'll make myself noticeable. I have in the past done pretty good with my own custom cammo.

Theres a certain psychology that is what makes cammo work. The most effective cammo let's the brain invent what it thinks it sees, and hides the shape of what is actually there. Real tree and Mossy oak don't do that, they are very specific: birch tree, pine tree, etc, and that limits their effectiveness. For tarps, the perfectly straight ridgeline and other crisp edges gives it away. Nothing else in the woods has a perfectly straight line.

Olive drab is an amazing color. Depending on the light and surrounding colors, sometimes it looks green, sometimes tan, sometimes brown. In the summer, it's almost invisible, even in fairly open woods. It stands out a bit more right now, because brown leaves is the predominant color in the woods, but it's OK behind lots of cover.

Yes every couple of years I look into this... Sil Nylon treated won't hold five color according to Mossy Oak and the others, it won't get past the strict standards for color bleed even if they did have it made in China. Some day they will crack it - This is a photoshop.

At least for hammock gear, I don't like the look of camo or the connotations it often carries. I like olive drabs and earthy grays for my hammocks and tarps. Those are the basic colors of most offerings anyways, plus I prefer not to advertise my hanging, be it hiking in the mountains, kayaking on the river, or even in my own backyard. Muted tones are just enough so as not to flag my presence from the next ridge, or the nearest road, etc. No need to beg someone's inspection or tempt mischief with big, bright gear, IMO. I do like to have some color on my TQ's though, since they're cheery and you can't really see them under mosquito netting, let alone a tarp.

Sewing machines, discussions about colors and patterns, coordinating colors, fabric, mmmmm. This forum is making me a bit conflicted.
