    Great report! I love that trail. The last time I did that one, it was 95 degrees and the borden creek ford was ankle deep. Sipsey is my favorite place to hike. I usually take my ultralight fishing gear.

    Thanks for that great trip report Hewitt. We have Sipsey on our list for either Mardi Gras or Easter break and I'm doing as much armchair recon as I can. At this point I'm leaning toward parking at Thompson and hiking in from the other end.

    That will most likely be my plan for the next trip to Sipsey. Having several different trailheads creates quite a few different possibilities for loops. I'm really disappointed it took me five years of living in North Alabama before realizing this forest existed.
