Is the MSR Mini Groundhog stake good enough, or is the traditional Groundhog the one to get?

Mini Groundhogs are to short id go for regulars. I got 2 Mini 1s that I use for stakig out WBBB.
Short or thin stakes aren't worth much in sandy soil like here in Florida. The mini groundhogs would be a joke there
What type of ground are you typically going into?
Here in Texas forest soils (and Arkansas), I've used mini and regular and often mix. Last forest hike, I had 6 mini's, 4 on the tarp corners and two holding out my WBBB. Then I used 2 regulars and my hiking poles to pull out the side pulls on the tarp.

Depends on the ground. I've used both with no issues but if you're not sure how the ground is going to be where you are going, I'd go for the regular ones.

I've just come across two other possibilities similar to the groundhogs:
1. Offered by Dutch: http://www.dutchwaregear.com/aluminu...it-stakes.html
2. Offered by WB: http://www.warbonnetoutdoors.com/y-shape-stakes/
Anyone experienced with these stakes? How do they compare to the groundhogs?
Cheapo Coghlans knockoff y-stakes from Walmart work fine for me (but that's sandy FL soil). I've got almost 2 dozen spread around various tarps and tents. So far I've bent one just a bit (don't step on them, they don't like that).
