Cool! I'm going to try this! Of all things I have some Argon 67 left over from a project (as the vendor only sold it in whole-metre increments). If you attached it to the ridgeline with a prussik loop (with maybe a plastic mitten hook?) you could slide it way down the other end of your ridgeline when empty to keep it out of the way, maybe...
I did get to use mine this weekend. I kept it prussic'ed down near the foot end of my hammock. I had enough room for a spare poncho liner, my shoes, a balled up pair of clean wool socks, and some random pocket filler from my jackets.
I might add a way of securing it closed. I made mine a tad narrower than Snowballs and if I filled it too aggressively the contents had an opportunity to slither out.
