Outdoor Wilderness Fabrics has EVA foam in 1/8" and 1/4", various widths.

I found Ed Speer's foam to be light, not quite as light as GG, but much lighter than OWF.

The lightest EVA I have is a roll of 3/16" "headliner foam" that is used in reupholstering automobiles.

I think that 'lightness' equates to 'density' with regards to foam. And the density impacts the insulation provided. I think. In other words, pads of different weights per cubic inch will have different R-values/different low-temp capabilities on the trail.

You are correct!

Density is not the only factor. It is rare to find specs for any of this stuff, though. One must discover the insulating qualities empirically!
