Thanks for the replies and comments everyone. Derek was a great guy to talk with. Funny thing, when ufdigga commented above about the 30deg hang on the tarp I don't remember talking about that. Looking at the time of the podcast and what time it was during the evening when we were talking with Derek, I just remembered when we were doing the interview, I had 25lbs of pork butt on the smoker and had to run outside to check the fire. The joys of doing interviews with people in three different locations.

Thanks for the feedback. I was a little afraid of the longer format because a lot of the online resources I found indicated to keep it under an hour. But folks are so darned interesting to talk to...

I don't know if it has been brought up before, but I think you should interview Attroll. It is his resource which has allowed this community to grow in such a specific way and not just as a subforum contained within a larger website. I believe it would be interesting to get his perspective on how he feels about the rapid growth hammocking has seen over the last couple of years from being a primarily cottage niche to many larger mass production companies entering the game.

Thanks, that's a great suggestion. We've already chatted with him and the mods regarding getting our logo on the homepage (on the right hand side), and he's been great to deal with.
