    Thumbs up Good stuff...

    Great to hear.

I guess before I commit to "only" 15 yards, I should read a bit more about how many layers I'll need for a full under-quilt and over-quilt... it's been a bit busy, and I keep getting pulled away from this IMPORTANT research toward more mundane matters like keeping the house from falling apart.

To make an under & over quilt system, would 2 layers (in each) be enough? I don't plan on camping in sub-32(F) temps quite yet. According to the InsulTex web site, one layer should be enough?? This stuff sounds phenomenal.

I head to LA in the morning for a couple of days, but I'll try to keep in touch about your next group purchase.

Don't know yet... the next thing I have to try is an Insultex-only UQ/TQ.

I'm not sure how well it will do by itself.

How compressible is I-tex? Would it perform well between the layers of hammocks like the Traveller? Or is that better left to ccf?

I got this from Quest Outfitters. I'm sure the Insultex is great stuff but I don't believe their quote here. I've been wrong before though

Looks good, RF... this weekend I came to the conclusion that small darts in the middle of the sides would be worth trying, to get a good fit. What do you think?

I thought about that. I was going to make a long TC but opted to make two smaller lighter TQs instead. This way I can carry one or both depending on weather conditions and length of carry. That sort of negated the darts as maximum drape is called for by the TCs.

Does this mean a third project?
