HH Deep Jungle Asym Zip XL & UQ

The HH Deep Jungle Asym Zip XL has a double bottom and you can slip the HH double bubble reflective pad in-between the 2 bottom layers for insulation. Has anyone tried inserting an UQ into that same area instead of suspending it under the hammock? Think it's feasible? Looking to use the HH in colder weather than the pad will allow and want to get an UQ.

Putting an underquilt between the layers will compress it and decrease the insulation value greatly. Pads between the layers work because you cannot compress the air chambers. Why would you think about putting an underquilt between the layers instead of hanging it?

I put a down tq into my hhss between the foam pad & the undercover. This worked down to 8F, but it was a hack for exceptional weather.

I'd much rather have a proper uq with the pad inside if needed.
For your hh you could put the bubble pad between layers and add an uq on the outside so it can fluff up.

Why would you think about putting an underquilt between the layers instead of hanging it?

Just for ease of use. I'm brand new to hammocks so I had to ask. Thanks!
