    sewn in UQ idea?

i was thinking about designing a hammock with a sewn in UQ. i wanted to use a costco down throw but leave one end open so i could put a sheet of 7.5 oz Climasheild in between the throw and the hammock for extra insulation. i wanted that end to be velcro or something so that i can take the Climasheild in and out for multi season use. thoughts?

For all questions I regarding insulated hammocks I would direct my questions to fireinmybones , the owner of Bonefire gear hammocks. Very knowledgeable source.

+1 on Intimidator's recommendation. I would also check out this thread https://www.hammockforums.net/forum/...highlight=jaxx where someone else has already tried a form of what you are thinking about. Last thing, I suggest using snaps rather than velcro for the open end because velcro has a nasty habit of getting caught on other stuff.
