    Looking for backpacking food websites

I'm planning my meals for the AZ hang. I went to the library and checked out the camp cooking books and the recipes don't really jive with what I qualify as tasty food. I don't throw a handful or wheat germ in everything I eat at home and I'm not about to start now. Do you guys know of any websites that have recipes for real food thats good for backing? I'm trying to avoid recipes with tofu of tvp.

After looking at more recipes, I swear I'm just going to bring an iron skillet and a bunch of beer.

FWIW, the beer will evaporate in the pan. You should really bring some food, too.

Just find some chow that you usually like at home and dehydrate it. That simple. I'm a big fan of Enertia Trail Foods, but that's just me.

I sold my dehydrator. I really don't like dehydrated food. I'll probably just pack regular old heavy steak and eggs and such.

I never owned one, dehydrate everything in the oven.

You do know you have to add hot water to it to rehydrate it, right? It's a lot better that way.

I had all dehydrated food on my Havasu trip....never again!!! I figure for an overnighter there is no need to not eat well. I was looking for recipes that are normal foods but easy to pack and cook on the trail.

I'll just store a roast chicken in between my extra clean clothes.

Or maybe I'd cook some trout if I was able to land some.
