I was bitten by the hammock bug last summer and I'm starting to notice the neurological effects.
I don't see trees anymore. I see hammock posts.
If I'm driving around and see only 1 tree in someone's yard I feel disappointed for them.
If I see 2 trees that are too close together for hammocking, I cringe.
The other day I had to fight the urge to hang my hammock between the 2 most perfectly spaced trees I've ever seen. Too bad they were in the front of an elementary school and I didn't want to invite that sort of attention.
I can only judge a tree's value now by it's appropriateness for a hang.
Is this something that will fade away as I grow older in my hammock years or will this forever be a part of me?
