    Welcome to the forum, Hokey! I've been thinking about the Clarks...it's the only major brand that I've never actually seen, so I'm pretty interested in learning the details beyond what I can see on the internet. That's quite a bit of money to drop on something just to check it out, though.

    Thanks JJ. Yeah, they're not cheap I agree. I think it was six years ago that I bought mine. At that time I didn't know what kind of hammock I wanted. I had tried a Hennessey and then I found the Clark website. I ordered the lightweight and the heavier models from Hennessey and Clark (4 total) and took all four out into the woods to try all four of them at one time. I ended up keeping the heavier model of each and returned the other two. I've used the Hennessy once and have stuck with the CLark. But now, with the different hiker get togethers and such, finding a Clark to try out shouldn't be problem.

    my friend just bought one of these and hopefully he will come to the gouge when we go and you can try his jeff

    no

    no he bought a eagles nest setup but another friend of mine mike bought a clark n a .got it today said he was going to try to sleep in it tonight. pandaman got the eagles nest with the bug net and the rectangal tarp that was really light not the one that is cut crazy even thought it looked cool. to many tie out hope they like them the foothills is just a few days away

    Did you find alot of good places to hang on the Foothills? I start April 9. BD

    You'll have a hard time finding places NOT to hang on the FT. Seriously...not even a concern.

    like jeff said trees are everywhere. how many miles you doing a day? might can help with camp sites and water is everwhere to no need to carry alot .
