To all my fellow members of DWA. I have an addiction. All things Dutch. I was going over last years receipts trying to find tax write offs . I've have decided there might be a problem. Last year I spent $494.86. This year I am starting out with another Dutch hammock and some bling. Why do I feel so excited when I complete my purchase? Why does Bling release endorphins? Can't wait for my new hexon to arrive. Thanks Dutch for always having great service and answering dumb questions.

Don't feel bad. I just completed my fourth order from him this month- including ordering three different hammocks to try out..

I'm relatively new to hammocking and have already ordered from him 3 times, including a half wit hammock that is now on it's way to me! The addiction is *easily* acquired!

If it makes you feel better, I just totaled up how much I spent with Dutch last year. Let's just say it was slightly less than twice what you spent. The great prices and quick shipping add up fast! Every penny was well spent though.

That pretty much sums me up too. And then every time I order, I soon discover something else he stocks that I just have to get my hands on! I think my wishlist on Dutch's site has around 20 items on it at present...

Shipping to New Zealand isn't the cheapest, but well worth it. Sadly, there seems to be very little in the way of lightweight hammock gear available locally - almost everything I have, I've imported from somewhere.

I'm new to hammock camping, I received my order from Dutch and Warbonnet, I haven't even setup the tarp or hammock and I'm already thinking of my next Dutch order.

All I count are the orders since I set up an account on his Web site. 5 since Halloween. No, it's 6. I ordered zing-it, reflextix, and whoopie hooks Friday.

Hello, my name is Trent. I have made multiple purchases totaling over $300 this month and have only slept in a hammock two nights, ever. I feel Dutch has many more purchases coming his way from me so I can't even claim to have reached step one, admitting I have an issue. Dutch, please don't make that titanium toilet paper holder you mentioned on the HYOH podcast....I just don't want to have to explain that when the lady finds it. Also, can you please make a flag on a telescoping titianium pole so I can plant it in the ground and claim the site in the name of Dutch. Also, maybe sell some hunch punch kook-aid in a ti can.

Not too surprising. A DOC ranger told me that we were only the third hammock hangers he had seen in three years. Also, I don't think there is more than one spot at, say, Awaroa, to hang a hammock! Let's hope we don't show up at the same time.

I would appreciate learning from a Kiwi good hanging spots that are not necessarily on the Great Walks. That's all we had time for on our first trip, but we definitely want to come back.
